Reading Playlists: YA Books About Music Genres
YA books about hip hop, rock, K pop, country, & classical music.
Did you know March was Music in Our Schools Month? To celebrate our library took this idea from Karen Jensen on creating reading playlists of books that are about or feature specific music genres. It’s been a popular display & I wanted to share the playlists I created (not all of which are in our library; turns out, for example, we have zero books about country music!).
It’s been fun to see what genre the students gravitate towards; K Pop has had the most books taken from the display by far!
Have any other ideas for music genre reading playlists? Drop a note in the comments!
